chris / robert's playlist:
this might get very long, this list.
but for a start...
* i was going through some cd's and i found some slint, so they can go to the top of the list for references. would like to be as good as that. www.slint.com i think.
* spyamp 'gti' cd, go to www.spyamp.co.uk for spyamp related stuff. went to see them last night in manchester.
* alamos as yet unfinished first record work in progresses of about 7 songs. go to www.alamos.co.uk for all things alamos. they're good by the way, they might even end up really big (not that commercial sales ever 'makes' a band better or worse or bigger than another band).
* nick drake back catalogue. and speaking of cats, they really get in the way of the keyboard when you're trying to type. www.nickdrake.co.uk.
* mowgai 'happy songs...' is really good. i can't tell if they're about one of the best live bands i've / we've seen, maybe they're better as sfa live, i don't always think so but who knows? we like 'em anyway, you proably do as well actually. bet you've already been to www.mogwai.co.uk as well. and www.superfurries.com.
* roni size 'reprezent'. the 3rd album's cracking as well. i think it's www.ronisize.com for the link, click it to see if we're right.
* drop nineteens 'winona', well, we did have to learn it. it's on the 'delaware' cd, i used to play it loads, less so now maybe. good though, not amazing, but good anyway. paula kelley has some solo music stuff going on as well, go to www.paulakelley.com for songs and pictures. the official or otherwise drop 19s website address is unknwown, so go to www.google.com and do a search. they split up after 2 albums, as i guess did adorable.
* speaking of adorable, pete (ex of the band adorable) has a site as well, it has his thoughts and music on it: http://www.fijski.fsnet.co.uk/. it's your way in to pete fijalkowski's nervous system.
* codeine 'frigid stars' is an album that robert likes a lot. chris brokaw's solo cd's are good as well. check out 'red cities' and www.chrisbrokaw.com if you like interesting music on guitar. and for codeine go to website www.codeine.com. i think. (actually, that takes you to a website that sells painkillers).
